Fuddruckers opens a 2nd Italian location northwest of Milan

FUDDRUCKERS OPENS SECOND ITALIAN LOCATION NORTHWEST OF MILAN; TEXAS-BORN FAST CASUAL CHAIN INTRODUCES SITE SPECIFIC SPECIALTY PLATTERS

HOUSTON, TX – July 14, 2014 – Fuddruckers, a Texas-born heritage brand, debuts its second Italian location today in partnership with new franchisee Vinum et Alia. The 3,490-squre-foot fast casual restaurant is located at Via Saronnese 12, approximately 20 miles northwest of Milan between Castellanza, home of the University of Economics Carlo Cattaneo, and Legnano, a city that traces its history back to medieval times and now boasts one of the area’s most popular parks.

The new site is one of ten planned with Vinum et Alia with proposed targets within Italy, as well as in Poland and Switzerland. The 138-seat venue is the first free-standing restaurant for the partnership and benefits from immediate access to a high traffic state road. The American-style interior showcases a dynamic and playful design scheme, which emphasizes the brand’s classic, roadhouse origins. The result is an inviting backdrop that is ideal for a family gathering, business lunch or date night.

According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby’s, Inc., “We are excited to launch a second Fuddruckers restaurant in Italy just four months after making our European debut. We greatly appreciate the support of Vinum et Alia in identifying prime locations, and we have been thrilled by our welcome, quickly earning fans of our baked from scratch buns, which are made in house throughout the day, and 100% fresh and never-frozen Italian beef, produced to our unique specifications and then grilled to order.”

New on the menu at the Via Saronnese location is a special selection of regionally-inspired platters that include roasted chicken, crispy chicken, ribs, tenderloin, sliced chicken breast and sliced beef. And while burgers are the signature, the engaging menu offers variety for many tastes with an array of sandwiches and salads. No matter what they choose, customers can customize their meal with a trip to the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which features fantastic fixings like sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles and classic cheese sauce.
