FUDDRUCKERS DEBUTS FIRST MAINE LOCATION; LOCAL FRANCHISE PARTNER B&B BURGERS BRINGS ACCLAIMED FAST CASUAL RESTAURANT BRAND TO NEW ELLSWORTH DEVELOPMENT
HOUSTON, TX – May 11, 2015 – Fuddruckers, a Texas-based heritage brand, introduced its first location in Maine today through a partnership with franchisee B&B Burgers, Inc. The 3,000-square-foot, family-oriented fast casual restaurant in Ellsworth anchors a new Tradewinds convenience store complex on Route 1A near Ellsworth Falls. B&B Burgers, Inc. was co-founded by Brad Holmes and Chuck Lawrence, a longtime Fuddruckers fan, who has operated convenience and grocery stores in the area for more than two decades.
The sports-themed venue, which offers both indoor and patio dining plus a number of televisions for game days, is approximately 20 miles from Acadia National Park and offers direct access to the 85-mile Down East Sunrise Trail, a popular recreation area for hiking, biking, horseback riding, cross country skiing and snowmobiling. Diners also enjoy easy access to Downeast Scenic Railroad, which offers daytrip experiences aboard a vintage railcar.
According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby’s, Inc., “B&B Burgers, Inc. has created an optimal introduction to northern New England with a prime site and strong ties to this wonderful community, where we are excited to establish the Fuddruckers brand.”
Since 1980, Fuddruckers has been obsessed with making the world happier, one great hamburger at a time. Grilled-to-order burgers feature always fresh and never frozen, 100% USDA premium-cut beef with no fillers or additives. Delicious, sesame-topped buns are baked from scratch on-site throughout the day to achieve the perfect combination of crisp crust and melt-in-your-mouth texture.
And while burgers are the signature, the engaging menu offers variety for many tastes with an array of sandwiches, platters and salads. No matter what they choose, customers can customize their meal with a trip to the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which features fantastic fixings like sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions, dill pickles, pico de gallo and classic cheese sauce.
