TEXAS-BASED FUDDRUCKERS OPENS ITS FIRST RESTAURANT IN CENTRAL EUROPE; FAST CASUAL EATERY ANCHORS NEW FOOD COURT AT WOLA PARK CENTER IN WARSAW, POLAND
WARSAW, POLAND – June 24, 2015 – Fuddruckers, a Texas-born heritage brand, debuted its first restaurant in Central Europe on June 20 through a partnership with Italian-based franchisee Vinum et Alia. Located in Warsaw, Poland’s Wola District, the fast casual eatery is an anchor of bustling Wola Park Shopping Center’s new food court, which was unveiled earlier this month. The site is one of ten planned with Vinum et Alia. Two have recently opened in Italy, and Switzerland is a proposed target.
According to Peter Tropoli, Chief Operating Officer of Luby’s, Inc., “We are thrilled to be launching our third European location in just over a year and are equally excited to be introducing Poland to the ‘World’s Greatest Hamburgers’ featuring baked from scratch buns, which are made in house throughout the day, and 100% fresh and never-frozen beef, produced to our unique specifications and then grilled to order.”
Adjacent to Multikino cinema and Calypso fitness club, the 2,777-square-foot restaurant can accommodate approximately 130 diners. The American-style interior showcases a dynamic and playful design scheme, which emphasizes Fuddruckers’ classic, roadhouse origins. The result is an inviting backdrop that is ideal for a family gathering, business lunch or date night.
The Wola Park restaurant is the first Fuddruckers to serve an American-style pizza with five options that range from the U.S.A. Classic incorporating tomato sauce, mozzarella cheese and oregano to the Podhale Spirit with kielbasa, Oscypek cheese, mushroom and onion. In addition to hamburgers and pizza, the engaging menu offers an array of soups, sandwiches and salads.
No matter what they choose, customers can customize their meal with a trip to the legendary Build Your Own produce bar, which features fantastic condiments like sun-ripened tomatoes, lettuce, sliced onions and dill pickles.
